World Champions at the 2018 World Choir Games!

Our Senior School Choir attended their first-ever World Choir Games, which took place in Tshwane (Pretoria) during the holidays. The World Choir Games has taken place on different continents every 2 years for the past 20 years, and this year, South Africa was the host country. 300 choirs from 60 countries performed at the week-long prestigious event, part of which was aired on television.

Our Senior School Choir entered the Music of Spirit and Faith category and made their debut with an original piece, which was composed by our Head of Music, Ms Carika de Swardt, as well as two of our Music teachers, Mr Joshua Boudan and Miss Nicole Louw. This performance earned our girls a Gold Diploma, Level 2, and they were also announced as the winners of their category – a huge achievement, considering the many very talented performers who took part!

Congratulations to all our Choir girls, as well as their Music teachers. We are incredibly proud of you all!
