Today the excitement continues! St John’s D.S.G., for the second year in a row, won the Senior Girls’ Relay Gala. This is the first time in the school’s history that St John’s D.S.G. has won both the Junior A Gala and this prestigious gala in the same year.
In addition to this result, our swimming squad received four additional trophies: the 4-Age Medley Relay Trophy (Paige Forster, Emma Kuhn, Callan Nel, Amy Carey); the U14 Medley Relay Trophy (Sydney Lancaster, Reese Peters, Chloe Dellar, Jess Meter); the U14 Freestyle Relay Trophy (Sydney Lancaster, Jess Meter, Donne Rohrs & Reese Peters) and the U16 Freestyle Relay Trophy (Chloe Barnard, Brooke Aylward, Sidney Bowles, Amy Carey.)
Swimming coach, Cara Schirge, says, “We are very proud of the commitment and determination that all our girls have shown this season. Their hard work has paid off, and they are so deserving of these results. A big thank you, too, to our two other swimming coaches, Bev Shuttleworth and Kristy Burt, for all that they have done to help our squad girls reach their full potential.” Yellow Fins, we are so proud of each one of you.
