Our 120th Birthday Celebration

Today, we celebrated the 120th birthday of St John’s D.S.G. – an incredible milestone in our school’s rich history!

The day began with a service of Thanksgiving, led by Rev. Dianne Pickford. This was followed by the official opening of our new Pavilion. To commemorate this special day, an aerial photo was taken of all of our girls, and thereafter, our Grade 8 and 9 Marimba Bands kept all our guests entertained while the girls enjoyed special birthday cupcakes. Thank you to Mrs Liza Venter and our Catering Staff for these.

Our guests included Board Members, Parents, Staff, past Staff, and Old Girls, continued the celebrations upstairs in the new Pavilion. As always, our Catering staff outdid themselves, and guests were able to feast on…… (list of things). Our exquisite birthday cake, donated by Zeenath Hoosen, was cut by our Principal, Mr Simon Moore; our Head Girl, Michelle Niebuhr and one of our Grade RR Eaglets, Kyra Singh .

We would like to thank every person who attended today – we were truly blessed to share this special day with each one of you. Happy birthday, St John’s D.S.G.!
