What is your favourite memory from your time at school?
I have a long list of good memories from my time at St John’s D.S.G., and it would be difficult to pick my favourite! A few highlights for me though, are MCing the Matric Dance in 2013, attending my own Matric Dance in 2014 as well as moving into the Matric Wing. isiZulu lessons with Miss Hazel Gwabaza were amazing!
What do you think makes St John’s D.S.G. the special school it is today?
I think the girls are the ones who make the school special. St John’s D.S.G. girls are leaders and trendsetters. It is a school where you can send your daughter trusting that she will come out headstrong and confident in her own capabilities. I remember that my outspoken nature was always encouraged and this has helped me in adulthood. Most schools do not make enough room for individual personal development. This is what makes St John’s D.S.G. stand out!
