St John’s D.S.G. Grade 9 pupil, Emma Kuhn participated in the South African National Junior Swimming Championships at the end of term. She won gold in the 50m Breaststroke, as well as silver in the 200m Backstroke and in the 200m Individual Medley.
Emma ranks in the following positions in South Africa (swimming in the 14-year age category.)
? 4th in the 100m Breaststroke
? 5th in the 50m Freestyle
? 6th in the 100m Butterfly and in the 100m Backstroke
? 9th in 50m Backstroke
? 12th in the 400m Freestyle
She qualified for the KZN Senior Nationals team and also took part in the Senior South African National Championships where she swam against all ages. She made the B Final for 50m Breaststroke and in the 200m Individual Medley too,where she placed 16th and 13th respectively, overall in South Africa (including adults!) Well done, Emma!
