It is not just rules that govern behaviour: pupils have responsibilities and expectations. Where responsibilities are carried out and expectations met, the children and their teachers will learn and work together in a supportive and nurturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES EXPECTATIONS
1. I shall treat others with consideration. I will not tease, laugh at, or hurt the feelings of other children I can expect to be happy at school and to be treated with understanding and kindness.
2. I shall not threaten the safety or well-being of others; I will not fight, hurt anyone, or play dangerous games. I will be safe.
3. I shall treat others politely and will respect the authority of all school staff. I can expect to be treated fairly and with respect.
4. I shall respect the belongings of others. I will not steal or damage someone else's property and I will take good care of the School property. My property should be safe.
5. I shall co-operate with teachers and other students, always trying to be well-behaved and never disturbing the learning of others. I shall make every effort to keep up-to-date with my classwork, homework and study. I will join in school activities and do my best at all times, developing my talents and skills to the best of my ability. I will attend school regularly and be punctual. I can expect to receive the maximum benefit from all lessons and activities.
6. I shall exercise self-control. I will be truthful at all times and be loyal to my school and friends. I shall react sensibly when I am corrected for breaking school rules. I can expect to learn social skills, self-discipline and good citizenship.
7. I shall give my opinion on things in an acceptable manner, doing my best never to offend staff and other students. I shall listen to the views of others and give them the right to be heard. I can expect to discuss my opinions and beliefs with others sensibly and calmly.
8. I shall behave so that the community will respect my school. I will wear my school uniform with pride. The school will have the support and respect of the community.
9. I shall care for the school environment, its buildings, property and grounds. I will keep my school neat and tidy and be prepared to remove litter. I will report any acts of vandalism. I can expect to enjoy the pleasant environment of of a clean and well-maintained school.
10. I shall protect my body by developing good health habits and maintaining good personal hygiene. I can expect to be protected against threats to my health.
